Relief, Cicada - 12.5 cm - Glass

This lot presents a highly detailed glass plaque featuring a cicada insect from cicadidae family created in the early 2000s. The technique in wich this stunning plaque was executed is by firing in a kiln through lost wax, resulting in an almost identical copy of an cicada made out of dark grayish glass. Attributed to DAS glass casting studio - one of the few professional glass cast artisans from Eastern Europe, very experimented in firing glass casts of the highest standards after small wildlife (snakes, lizards, frogs, crayfish). This glass art piece can be considered highly collectible due to its scarcity and fine craftmanship. Its condition is excellent, without damages or repairs, only some irregularities from creation process. Photos were realised in different lighting conditions, so the viewer can develop an accurate and real impression.
