Description from the seller
Nan Laar – “Where the Wind Rests”
A young girl sits still among the tall grass and the purple flowers. The world moves around her; the wind sweeps through the landscape, plays with her hair and carries thoughts beyond the horizon.
This work is about the space between feeling and letting go. About moments when time slows and nothing needs to happen. Where memories, longing and rest may coexist side by side.
The loose, energetic brushstrokes contrast with the still gaze of the girl. The landscape dissolves into color and light, while the figure remains as an anchor in a constantly changing world.
A painting about silence, freedom and the beauty of a thought that may drift past.
Dimensions: 150 x 120 cm
Medium: oil on canvas
Ready to hang: no, the painting will be rolled up and must be restretched by your local framer,
Note! The paintings come directly from the studio and in oil, so the oil is not yet fully cured. Some caution is advised!
Signature: on front, also signedCertificate
Year: 2025
Shipping: rolled in a tube
Sending extra-large formats rolled is safer and more environmentally friendly than sending ready-made works. The canvas can easily be stretched on site by a framer.
