The nature of the technique I use makes each piece in the series a unique, unrepeatable work. The final piece may vary slightly in size and texture compared to the photos and the text.
The work consists of a pyramidal prism, interrupted three-quarters of the way by a hollowed portion. I consider this piece a vindication of the Self against the vicissitudes of existence, but also an innate longing toward the heights. Toward a metamorphosis of shape into pure energy. Matter that becomes spirit. The hollow portion that interrupts the ascent of the form toward the summit is characterized as a set of parts that, unused, remain imprinted as empty traces of past experiences.
