One bottle of Gaja Barbaresco 2019 — the flagship wine of one of Italy’s most iconic and celebrated estates, and in this vintage a wine of exceptional importance: Gaja decided not to produce any of its single-vineyard cru Barbarescos (Sorì San Lorenzo, Sorì Tildìn, Costa Russi) in 2019, due to the repercussions of severe hailstorms that struck in 2018. Instead, the finest lots from all 14 estate vineyards were carefully selected and concentrated into this single bottling — making the 2019 Barbaresco one of the most complete and complex expressions the estate has produced in years. Sourced from 14 family-owned vineyards across Barbaresco and Treiso, aged 12 months in French oak barriques and tonneau.
