Rudolf Poeschmann (1878 - 1954): "Zwinger Dresden", circa 1924, oil on canvas, 49 x 59 / 69 x 80 x 6 cm. Signed bottom right with "RUD. POESCHMANN" and the place designation Dresden; on the back of the canvas also signed with the Dresden locale, as well as handwritten title by the artist. Lavishly antique framed. Provenance: Private collection, Southern Germany.
Impressionist painting by the well-known Dresden painter, depicting an exceptional view into the interior of the Zwinger viewed from one of the upper terraces. Craquelure; slightly visible in the upper area.
