MiLo – “Night Flowers”

“Night Flowers” presents a field of abstract botanical forms emerging from a deep black background. Built from layered white gestures and repetitive vertical markings, the flowers appear somewhere between organic growth and symbolic structures, balancing fragility with monumentality.

The contrast between dark space and luminous forms gives the work a nocturnal atmosphere, as if the flowers are appearing briefly in the dark rather than fully revealing themselves. The repeated textures and imperfect lines create rhythm and movement across the surface, while retaining a raw, expressive quality.

Rather than depicting flowers realistically, the painting moves toward abstraction and suggestion, allowing the forms to shift between floral shapes, masks, totems, or architectural silhouettes depending on the viewer’s perspective.
