Description from the seller
Uri Dushy (Israeli, born 1963)
Multicoloured Car
Original 3D mixed media on metal, circa 2015
68cm × 112cm (27 × 44 inches)
Signed by the artist lower right in paint
This is not a print. This is a genuine hand-crafted original —
a large-format wall sculpture in the form of a London black cab,
densely layered with paint, photography and physically raised 3D
acrylic elements that project from the metal surface. Butterflies,
lettering, character cut-outs and graffiti text all stand proud of
the background, giving the piece genuine sculptural depth that no
photograph fully captures.
Riding the cab is one of the most celebrated casts of 20th century
icons assembled on a single artwork. Marilyn Monroe. Amy Winehouse.
Queen Elizabeth II. Wonder Woman. John Travolta and Olivia
Newton-John from Grease. Tommy Shelby from Peaky Blinders.
And Daffy Duck — wearing full Louis Vuitton — leaning against
the front wheel. The cab itself is covered in Union Jacks, peace
signs, neon paint splashes and graffiti slogans including I Love
London, Do What You Love and Booow. It is bold, irreverent and
entirely unmistakable.
Uri Dushy is one of the most commercially successful contemporary
pop sculptors working today. His works are represented
internationally by Clarendon Fine Art and Washington Green (UK),
Bel Air Fine Art (Paris) and Mensing Galerie (Germany), and are
held in private collections across Europe, the Middle East and
Asia. New originals from this series retail at specialist galleries
between £4,995 and £7,500.
PROVENANCE

primary authorised UK gallery representative. This is as
strong a provenance confirmation as exists for a Dushy original
on the secondary market.
CONDITION
Good. Light surface scratches to the resin coating consistent
with transport and careful display use. All 3D sculptural
elements fully intact — no butterflies, letters or cut-outs
missing or damaged. No cracks, chips or structural issues.
