Description from the seller
I am offering for auction a superb 19th century oil on canvas of farm workers stacking the hay cart. Unsigned but clearly by a very good artist. In original gilt frame. A beautifully composed painting that would grace any wall.
The painting measures 51 x 41 cm. The frame is 68 x 57 cm.
Condition of the painting is good. Please view all photos for accurate condition. The frame has some wear. Ready to hang.
Please note. Due to the fragile nature of old frames and glass, our shippers do not provide insurance for any damage caused during transit. We go to great lengths to ensure each painting is packed and protected to a very high standard but sadly cannot compensate or refund for any damage occurring to frames or glass during transit. Therefore the frame and any glass is a gift to you with zero value and you are bidding on the artwork only.
Due to Brexit, there are delays at EU customs borders though the situation is improving. Please do not blame me for delays or any customs duty payable. I really appreciate your understanding and patience. Steve.
