Luigi XV Mirror in Mecca Silver, Fine 800, Florence
Important Italian wooden mirror finely carved and finished in Mecca silver, made in Florence at the end of the nineteenth century in the Luigi XV style. The structure stands out for its rich and scenographic decoration of volutes, acanthus leaves, floral motifs, and interlaced scrolls, all carved with great artisanal skill.
The upper cornice, particularly elaborate, features a triumph of perforated vegetal elements and shaped cartouches that elevate the composition vertically, giving movement and elegance to the whole ensemble.
