Description from the seller
Decorative marble plate in white with inlays of semi-precious stones - Traditional technique "Pietra Dura" / "Parchin Kari" - 20th Century
Elegant display plate or centerpiece, handcrafted in high-quality translucent white marble and adorned using the laborious technique of inlaying hard stones (Pietra Dura / Parchin Kari).
This piece stands out for its central motif of a naturalist-inspired floral vine. The design comprises delicate flowers and shoots achieved through meticulous assembly of polished fragments of various semi-precious stones (notably shades of blue lapis lazuli, green malachite, orange carnelian, and jasper), inlaid with absolute precision into the marble matrix.
Excellent condition. It shows no structural cracks, breaks, or losses in the inlays. The surface retains its original polished shine, and the edge carved in relief is fully intact.
