LeYack, The Return — Bowler Hat at the Lit Window - Hand-signed, 2022, a limited edition of 20 copies, 40 × 40 cm, signed by the artist, digital painting technique, sold directly from the artist in France, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
A small square paved after the rain. The wet stones reflect light like a second sky. In the background, a white house with green shutters, a single streetlamp lit, and a window on the upper floor burning with an amber glow. Above, the sky still hesitates between the day’s blue and night.
From behind, a man in a long black coat and a bowler hat has stopped in the middle of the square. He looks at the window. How long will he stay there? The painting holds him forever in that moment, the moment before the decision: knock, go away, or simply watch. A tribute both to Magritte and to Hopper, two painters of waiting. A powerfully narrative work, almost cinematic, to hang in an office, a studio, an entry hall — anywhere one likes images to pose questions.
Characteristics of the work:
Signature: Hand-signed by the artist in front and on the back of the piece.
Technique: Giclée print on canvas, using a high-quality pigment print to faithfully reproduce details and colors.
Edition: Limited to 20 copies, individually numbered.
Dimensions: 40 x 40 cm.
Framing: Delivered ready to frame, according to your preferences.
Authenticity: Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
Shipping: Shipped from France, with secure packaging to ensure delivery in perfect condition.
About the artist:
LeYack (born 1972) is a contemporary artist whose work blends modern narration with pictorial heritage. Drawing inspiration from photography and cinema, he distorts the codes of realism to inject palpable emotional tension. Each work tells a frozen moment, inviting the viewer to immerse themselves in the suggested story.
