Description from the seller
Toons, contemporary French artist, presents “GIVE ME THE CASH, HUMAN” (2026), a one-of-a-kind original work 1/1, entirely handmade on an authentic 1-dollar bill. This signed piece is sold unframed, in excellent condition, and measures 15.6 cm high by 6.6 cm wide. Originating from France, it stems from the MILLION DOLLAR CLUB series and depicts Bender, the famous robot from Futurama, in a contemporary pop art scene centered on money, technology, and the future.
Story:
Bender appears in the foreground with a provocative gaze and a mechanical smile, demanding the cash as if the future had already changed hands. On a backdrop of a 1-dollar bill, the phrase “GIVE ME THE CASH, HUMAN” takes on a dimension that is both humorous and unsettling: that of a future where robotics no longer merely serves humans, but could also embrace their excesses, vices, and obsession with money. From the MILLION DOLLAR CLUB series, the work plays with contemporary fears related to technology, automation, and the power of capital. Toons thus transforms Bender into a pop burglar of tomorrow, a blend of satire, futurism, and cartoon culture.
