Bill Parker (1922-2009) est un peintre américain de tendance abstraite post-cubiste, né au Texas et installé à Paris à partir de 1951. Il appartient à la fois à l’« École américaine » et à l’« École de Paris ». Après avoir étudié auprès de Hans Hofmann, il poursuit sa formation à Paris auprès de Fernand Léger.

Sa peinture se caractérise par des compositions abstraites construites comme des mosaïques de formes et de couleurs vives, mêlant l’héritage du cubisme à une sensibilité plus lyrique et poétique. Lauréat du prix Bührle en 1953, il expose dans plusieurs institutions et galeries internationales, notamment au Stedelijk Museum et au Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris.
