TOONS, a contemporary French artist, presents BART SIMPSON – BARTO CELLO (2026), an original 1/1 work entirely handmade on a genuine one‑dollar bill, signed and in excellent condition, measuring 15.6 cm high by 6.6 cm wide and depicting Bart Simpson in a pop art cello scene.
Description from the seller
Toons, French contemporary artist, presents “BARTO CELLO” (2026), a unique original 1/1 work, entirely handmade on an authentic $1 bill. This signed piece is sold unframed, in excellent condition, and measures 15.6 cm in height by 6.6 cm in width. Originating from France, it comes from the SOUND ARTISTE series and depicts Bart Simpson in a pop art scene blending music, elegance, and irreverence.
Story:
Dressed in a concert suit, bow tie at the neck and cello in hand, Bart Simpson trades his image as a young rebel for that of a musician as insolent as he is refined. With a mischievous gaze, he subverts the codes of classical music to make a pop performance where sound becomes a signature and attitude a form of art. From the SOUND ARTISTE series, the work humorously tells how talent can emerge where you least expect it, between discipline, style, and freedom. Set against a $1 bill background, Bart thus becomes a quirky musician, at the crossroads of cultural prestige and contemporary pop energy.
Artwork No.: SA-226-A-01
