Description from the seller

Rare set of 7 mouth-blown crystal flute glasses, wheel-cut, two of which have silver bases. Flared trumpet shape with vertical panels running along the body, narrowing toward the base before widening slightly again at the lower part of the bowl. The stem features a prominent, faceted geometric knop (the central sphere with a diamond-cut or hinge-like facet). This is a classic feature, often found in 19th- and early 20th-century glass, contributing to light refraction and a secure grip. The base has a stepped foot that leads to a square base. Square bases are a typical characteristic of pressed crystal from traditional European glass manufactories (such as Baccarat or Val Saint Lambert). In their historical catalogs from the 19th and 20th centuries there are many trumpet glasses with square bases, often attributed to the Neoclassical or Napoleon III style. Size: height 20.3 x diameter 6.7 cm.
