You are bidding on a very fine and rare 4/4 viola, labeled Giuseppe Lucci da Bagnacavallo fece in Roma 1983. The instrument is in ready to play condition with no cracks, good master made bridge, Pirastro and corelli strings, and finest ebony set up.
The viola has an excellent high to medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of strongly flamed maple with matched sides and scroll. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The whole length of the violin is 629 mm and the back 383 mm.
