Description from the seller
“Silent Icon 01” is part of the Synthetic Identities series, a continually evolving visual inquiry into contemporary identity and its transformation into image. The work presents a frontal face, suspended between presence and emotional distance. The expression is neutral, almost immobile, while the chromatic surface explodes in intense and unnatural colors. This contrast creates a visual tension between what is seen and what is perceived.
The portrait does not represent a real person, but a constructed figure: an icon of contemporary identity, in which color becomes emotion and silence transforms into language. In an era dominated by images and digital representation, Silent Icon 01 reflects on how identity is shaped, filtered, and reduced to surface.
More than a psychological portrait, this work is configured as a visual presence: stable, frontal, and synthetic. It invites the observer to question what it means today to “be visible” and how much of what we see is authentic versus how much is artificially constructed.

Year: 2026, Italy
