Here we present a piece of great prestige and charm: a Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date in the highly sought-after emerald green color. A timepiece that combines high-end sport watchmaking with a hypnotic naturalistic design.
This watch is Montblanc’s first professional diver certified (ISO 6425), but it is famous above all for its revolutionary dial. The manufacture has managed to recreate the three-dimensional texture, the grain and the depth of glacial ice (inspired by the Mer de Glace on Mont Blanc) through a complex and ancient artisanal technique called gratté-boisé. The deep emerald green color captures the light, evoking the reflections of alpine lakes surrounded by glaciers.
The technical setup is impeccable. The 41 mm stainless steel case is topped by a unidirectional green bi-color ceramic bezel, glossy and scratch-resistant. The watch is water resistant up to 30 ATM (300 meters) and the solid case back boasts a magnificent 3D laser-engraved depiction of a diver and an iceberg.
