Description from the seller
Vintage OMEGA Art Déco Rectangular Curved T17 "Calatrava Style" Rectangular Watch "Curvex" 1934-1935 - perfectly functioning
Omega rectangle Art Deco, a true piece of Swiss watchmaking history dating to 1934-1935. This model is famous for housing the legendary T17 movement, noted for its incredible power reserve and precision.
Technical Details:
• Brand: Omega
• Era: Circa 1934-1935
• Movement: Manual-winding mechanical, caliber T17 (highly sought-after)
• Case: Rectangular in a "Tank" style, material steel/Staybrite.
• Dial: Blue color with brushed finish, railroad minute track (chemin de fer) and luminous markers. It presents a fascinating patina of time that attests to its authenticity.
Conditions:
The watch is in good vintage aesthetic condition. The dial shows a slight oxidation at the edges consistent with the piece’s age, which gives a unique character to the specimen. The movement is running (a service is advisable for daily use given the age of the object).
Width: 20 mm (excluding crown).
Lug-to-Lug Length: 36 mm – 38 mm (overall tip-to-tip measurement of the lugs).
Thickness: 8 mm – 9 mm.
Lug Width (strap): 16 mm
Stunning and rare vintage Omega Art Deco wristwatch (1934-2935), featuring an elegant, anatomically curved rectangular case ("Curvex" / T60 style) designed to perfectly hug the wrist.
Specifications:
Brand: Omega
Period: 1934-1935 (Art Deco era)
Movement: Mechanical manual winding (presumably T17 or R17.8 shaped caliber - case not opened)
Case: Stainless steel, curved/arched rectangular design. Snap-on case back.
Dial: Rich sunburst blue dial with white railway track minutes and radial markers. Please note: given the age, the dial is likely an older professional redial/restoration.
Strap: Cream leather strap (modern, aftermarket).
Condition: In working order. The case shows minor signs of wear and age, keeping its authentic vintage character. The winding crown shows cosmetic wear. The crystal has minor hairline surface scratches (please refer to photos).
Sold as-is based on the provided photographs. As this is a vintage timepiece, water resistance and modern chronometric precision are not guaranteed.
