Description from the seller

This refined Japanese tea bowl is the work of ceramic artist Akimitsu Kojima.

"Kuji-Gama" is a Japanese pottery studio that primarily produces beautiful porcelain such as celadon, overglaze enamel, and underglaze blue. Their art and craft items, including vases, incense burners, and tea ceremony utensils, are highly regarded.

The bowl bears the inscription "Akimitsu" on the base, and the accompanying box is inscribed with "Kuji-Gama" and "Made by Akimitsu."

This beautifully decorated tea bowl is suitable not only for use in the tea ceremony but also for collectors of Japanese ceramics.

There are no cracks or signs of repair, and it is in excellent vintage condition. Slight variations in firing, glaze crazing, and minor changes due to age are common in handmade Japanese pottery.
