Description from the seller

Description

Bathed in the warm glow of a summer afternoon, a young woman stands among a field of vibrant blue cornflowers, immersed in a moment of quiet reflection. Her flowing white dress and softly illuminated features create a harmonious dialogue between human beauty and the surrounding landscape.

Cornflowers have long been cherished in European culture as symbols of hope, freedom, devotion, and the beauty of nature. Once common across the countryside of Germany, France, and Eastern Europe, these striking blue blossoms have inspired generations of poets, painters, and storytellers.

Executed with expressive palette-knife textures and rich impasto brushwork, this painting celebrates the timeless connection between humanity and the natural world. The vivid contrast of luminous blues, fresh greens, and golden sunlight evokes feelings of serenity, nostalgia, and the fleeting magic of summer.

A contemporary figurative work inspired by the romantic spirit of European pastoral traditions.
