Description from the seller
Mixed media on paper. The painting is signed on the back and on the front and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the Artist. It is shipped as shown in the photos, with protective and archival materials, inside a cardboard tube, ready to be framed. Note that the frame is not included.
The work measures 30x40 cm and will be very easy to frame, even by placing it in a larger frame (40x50 or more), letting it appear to float or using a mat, as shown in the additional photos.
The painting is part of the collection of works "Lost and Found/Oggetti Smarriti", created between 2023 and 2024.
Francesco D'Adamo was born in Siena in 1979 and grew up in Termoli. His early encounters with painting occurred during childhood through private lessons, but it is only after 2006, when he moved to Bologna, that painting returns to be a constant and fundamental presence in his life and over time becomes his main activity. The following years saw his first exhibitions in the city and participation in several art fairs and events in Europe and Asia. This first decade of painting exploration drew the interest of collectors and art lovers from around the world and culminated in the important solo exhibitions Chimere (2017), Discanto (2018) and Dyssomnia (2019, Hong Kong). These first ten years of work were consolidated in the book “Decade,” published in 2021.
His painting research sinks its roots in Italian informale and American Abstract Expressionism, with particular attention to a continuous dialogue between visual language and music. The line and its rhythm, layered surfaces, a strong palette, and the use of different techniques converge into a lyrical image that is at the same time deeply concrete.
