Description from the seller

“Il Ladro di Merendine”, published in 2003, is one of the titles written by Andrea Camilleri, one of the most beloved authors of contemporary Italian literature and internationally renowned as the creator of the famous inspector Salvo Montalbano. The copy offered in this lot includes an element of significant collector’s interest: the original autograph of Andrea Camilleri, personally signed by the author inside the book. The presence of the signature makes this volume particularly desirable for collectors and admirers of Camilleri’s work.

The book comes from my private collection and belongs to a group of volumes personally signed by Andrea Camilleri that I have gathered over time. This specific copy was acquired as part of a lot of signed books. In order to document and support the collecting context from which the book originates, photographs of the collection will also be included, offering a broader view of the bibliophile environment in which the volume has been preserved.

“Il Ladro di Merendine” belongs to Camilleri’s detective and crime narrative and is considered one of the most appreciated novels of the Inspector Montalbano series. The novel combines investigation, irony and social reflection, portraying a vivid image of Sicily and its contradictions. The result is a powerful narrative in which Camilleri’s unmistakable style, marked by irony, rhythm and a language enriched with Sicilian expressions, emerges with remarkable strength.

Owning a signed copy of Andrea Camilleri is always highly desirable for collectors of contemporary literature. The book is in excellent condition. It has been carefully preserved within the collection and remains very appealing both for reading and for display in a refined private library or a collection dedicated to contemporary Italian literature.

Shipping will be handled with great care and professionalism. The volume will be carefully packaged to ensure maximum protection during transport and will be shipped with tracked delivery for secure shipment.
