Title: "Gentle Erosion"

Description:
There isn’t a loud upheaval, not a moment that changes everything all at once. Rather a quiet yielding, a slow shifting of boundaries that is barely perceptible as it happens. The colors feel as if they remember – something that was once clear and now softly blends into one another. Turquoise flows like a calm thought, yellow flashes as a brief moment of warmth that remains even after it has long passed.

Between them are these dark traces, restless and unpredictable. They seem like doubt, like small disturbances in the balance that do not fully dissolve. And yet they are part of the whole, as necessary as the calm areas.

Change here does not occur as a break, but as a process. Silent, patient, almost tender. Just as much in life much changes slowly – until you pause and realize that something inside you has moved on.

The canvas is delivered rolled.

Christoph Prein is an Austrian artist known for his abstract and contemporary works, created mainly with acrylic paints. Born in St. Margarethen near Knittelfeld, Prein’s pieces are often characterized by a minimalist, abstract style and are crafted carefully from high-quality materials to ensure vibrant colors and longevity. In his art he frequently engages themes such as identity, memory, and the exploration of human emotions, often blurring the lines between the visible and the invisible.

Prein’s approach to art is multidimensional, combining painting with elements of sculpture and installation. This unique style has earned him recognition in Austria as well as internationally, with exhibitions across Europe, North America, and Asia. His works often invite the viewer to contemplate the complexity of the modern world and the deeper aspects of human experience.

For a painting measuring 210 x 120 cm you need a stretcher of 200 x 110 cm with a thickness of 2-4 cm.

You can either simply stretch the canvas yourself or have it stretched by an artisan or gallery owner.

This is a handmade original, signed by the artist on the back and dated by year.

High-quality and lightfast acrylic paints were used on multiple layers of white-primed gallery canvas.

A varnish was also applied to protect the work.

This work is handmade and therefore unique!

--- Authenticity certificate included ---

Beautify your private residence, law firm, practice, or office and upgrade your premises in an elegant and stylish way.

When a person goes into his innermost depths, into a sphere that rarely comes to light, into a space that is mysteriously and hiddenly waiting to be discovered, tickled awake, also tormentingly propped up, then art is born.
