Every surface tells a story. Through touch, movement, and time itself, traces emerge that slowly inscribe themselves and then disappear again. "Abrasion" picks up this quiet process: Black structures seem to have been drawn over the white surface, blurred and worn away. What remains are fragments – memories of something that was once clearer, denser, or more tangible.

The work moves between presence and loss. The vertical traces feel like signs of a past action, like traces of life itself: irregular, vulnerable, and yet persistent. "Abrasion" invites you to discover beauty in the incomplete and to glimpse the stories concealed behind the remaining traces.

For sometimes it is not the things that endure, but the traces they leave behind.

Biographie:
My name is Sandra Glaser and I live in Trofaiach in beautiful Styria, where I have created a lovingly furnished studio – a place where I can completely immerse myself in my colors, shapes, and thoughts.
Since I was a child I have been fascinated by the world of art. This passion has never left me – it accompanies me to this day and continually inspires me anew. On travels and during visits to numerous exhibitions in Europe I was able to gather many artistic impressions that have shaped my view of painting.
My preferred form of expression is abstract acrylic painting on canvas. In my works I mainly deal with emotions, inner states, landscapes, and fantasy worlds. It is about making visible what cannot be said – emotions, moods, and interspaces that are often expressed only in color and movement.
I paint out of passion. It is for me an intuitive process in which authenticity and depth are central. Each work is a piece of myself – an impulse, a memory, a look inward and outward at the same time.

For a painting with the dimensions 160 x 130 cm, you need a stretched canvas of size 150 x 120 cm and a depth of 2-4 cm.

You can then either simply stretch the canvas yourself or have it stretched by a craftsman or gallery owner.

This is a handmade original, signed on the back by the artist and dated by year.

High-quality, lightfast acrylic paints have been used on multiple layers of white ground gallery canvas.

To protect the work a varnish was also applied.

This work is handmade and therefore unique!
