Omega Seamaster reference 135.011, 34 mm gold-plated case, silver dial, manual-wind Calibre 601 movement, leather strap, in very good condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
A0000005042
The watch is presented in good overall condition, showing careful prior use consistent with its vintage nature. The stainless steel case characteristic of this classic Omega model maintains a solid, clean, and well-preserved structure, with the iconic angular lugs of reference 135.011 clearly defined and without structural deformations, reflecting proper maintenance over time.
Externally, there are slight signs of wear, mainly in the form of fine surface manipulation marks (hairlines) and small nicks on the polished steel surfaces due to its veteran status and daily use.
The plexiglass crystal is in good condition, ensuring excellent visibility of the dial and free of deep cracks, showing only light superficial micro-scratches derived from natural use. The original silver-toned dial is in notably well-preserved condition, maintaining the sharpness of its lettering and the shine of the applied indices, showing only a subtle and very homogeneous temporal patina that enhances its authenticity and vintage character.
The crown winds the mechanism and allows the hands to be adjusted completely smoothly.
The screwed case back closes firmly and precisely. Its external face preserves the Hippocampus engraving with excellent relief and clarity, while its inner face is pristine, showing all the factory engravings and official references perfectly etched. Inside, the hand-wound Omega in-house caliber 601 is presented in an outstanding clean state, free of rust, moisture patina, or tarnishing, displaying the characteristic bright copper/rose gold finish of Omega movements of the era, with its components well preserved and fully operational.
The second-hand leather strap is in functional condition and aesthetically harmonizes with the timeless elegance of the piece.
Overall, this is a watch that retains its aesthetic and functional qualities very well, highlighted by housing the coveted caliber 601 in a stainless steel Seamaster case with a screwed case back, ideal for immediate use or high-end collection.
Conservation recommendations
To preserve the condition of the piece, avoid exposure to water or very humid environments altogether (due to its vintage characteristics, it lacks modern hermetic sealing systems). It is advised to avoid shocks or mechanical vibrations that could compromise the fine components of this caliber's regulator. For exterior cleaning of the case, use only a dry, soft microfiber cloth, and store the watch in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Happy bidding!
