Description from the seller
Watchmaking, Timepiece - Omega Seamaster Chronometer Electronic f300 Hz
Switzerland, around 1970-1973.
Rare Omega Seamaster Chronometer Electronic f300 Hz wristwatch produced in the early 1970s, a period marked by the great technological innovations of Swiss watchmaking.
This Seamaster is equipped with the famous electronic tuning fork movement f300 Hz, a cutting-edge technology for its era. This system, using the vibrations of a high-frequency tuning fork, offers excellent precision as well as a sweeping seconds hand, a characteristic sought after by enthusiasts of these movements.
The original black dial features an elegant, clean layout with applied metallic markers, a date window at three o’clock and the red Omega logo at noon. The whole is preserved in a typiquement seventies aesthetic particularly attractive.
The stainless steel case with broad satin-finish surfaces perfectly illustrates the watchmaking design of the early 1970s. Its proportions remain very contemporary on the wrist.
The watch is in working order. A fresh battery will need to be installed for regular use. It is presented on a modern NATO-style textile strap, not original.
A fine example of a reference that has become iconic in the history of Swiss electronic watchmaking, at the crossroads between traditional mechanical watches and the advent of quartz.
Dimensions :
• Diameter: approximately 39 mm excluding crown
• Lug-to-lug: approximately 20 mm
Delivery: ALL SHIPMENTS ARE MADE BY DHL EXPRESS ONLY.
