Description from the seller

Oertel Kristall – 9 wine glasses with 24-karat gold embellishment and Minton border

For sale is an exceptionally elegant set of 9 wine glasses from the venerable manufactory Joh. Oertel & Co. Kristallglas, finished with a fine 24-karat gold overlay in a classic Minton border. The artistic facet cut, the slender form, and the noble gold decoration give the glasses a timeless, festive aura.

The history of Joh. Oertel & Co. Kristallglas goes back to 1869. The family business was founded in Haida, then a center of Bohemian glass art. Oertel developed over generations into one of the most renowned addresses for hand-finished crystal glass and supplied international exhibitions, royal houses, heads of state, and demanding collectors worldwide. Today the company still exists and continues to stand for traditional craftsmanship, exclusive crystal glassware, and elaborate glass gilding.
