Description from the seller
Wera Grünwald - expressive floral still life, acrylic painting on watercolor paper "Daily Painting 1"
Passionately painted rose in a glass vase - contemporary abstract-expressive floral still life by the artist Wera Grünwald.
Strong red, yellow and orange tones dominate and create mood and dynamism through gestural brushstrokes.
The shapes are however greatly simplified and partially only hinted at. The representation arises more from color fields and brush movements.
The painting was done with acrylic paints on watercolor paper and is framed in a white mat with a bevel cut. On it lies the signature in pencil on the left "WG Wera Grünwald 2023".
With certificate of authenticity.
Matting: 35 x 35 cm (13.8 x 13.8 inches)
Artwork: 24 x 24 cm (9.45 x 9.45 inches)
Delivered with a mat but without a frame. It is packed with great care in a flat package (about 40 x 40 cm) and shipped with tracking.
Please note that the colors in the images may slightly differ due to different lighting conditions during photography and camera properties.
The painting was signed by Wera Grünwald. She lives and works as a freelance artist in Bad Zwischenahn in northern Germany. Her often large-format acrylic and oil paintings range between realism, abstraction, and "Poetical Fantasy Paintings".
Born in Berlin, trained as a goldsmith at the Zeichenakademie in Hanau and followed by a design studies at the Bergische Universität in Wuppertal.
Early on she turned to fine arts and expanded her knowledge at the Bundesakademie für kulturelle Bildung, Wolfenbüttel. Her artistic career is shaped by numerous exhibitions and acquisitions by well-known companies.
She was also the first prize winner of "Gute Form", Rat für Formgebung, Darmstadt, from the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs.
During numerous study trips across Europe she gained additional painting experience and was able to pass this on as the chair of an art association and as a lecturer in adult education.
