A beautiful, highly decorative ceramic art bowl crafted by the famous Italian studio Fratelli Fanciullacci in the 1960s.

The bowl, about 30 cm, features a beautiful frieze of stylized female figures (Donne), executed in a contrasting black-and-white glaze. The outlines are hand-etched into the clay using the refined sgraffito technique.
The central panel is framed by a broad, characteristic border of incised horizontal lines in the rough, unglazed clay.
The underside of the bowl is finished with a distinctive black-and-white speckled glaze and bears the original, hand-painted orange-yellow factory monogram "FF" and the model number "717". An iconic and sought-after object for lovers of Mid-Century Modern and Italian design.

Een prachtige, uiterst decoratieve keramische kunstschaal vervaardigd door de beroemde Italiaanse studio Fratelli Fanciullacci in de jaren 60.

De schaal ca 30 cm toont een prachtig fries van gestileerde vrouwenfiguren (Donne), uitgevoerd in een contrasterend zwart-wit glazuur. De contouren zijn met de hand in de klei gekorven middels de verfijnde sgraffito-techniek. 
Het centrale paneel wordt omlijst door een brede, karakteristieke rand van ingekorven horizontale lijnen in de ruwe, ongeglazuurde klei.
De onderzijde van de schaal is voorzien van een karakteristiek zwart-wit gespikkeld glazuur en draagt het originele, handgeschilderde oranje-gele fabrieksmonogram "FF" en het modelnummer "717". Een iconisch en gezocht object voor liefhebbers van Mid-Century Modern en Italiaans design.
