There are a few spots with very small chips. Honestly, that belongs to the condition of the object, but because the bowl is so richly built it hardly stands out. The overall appearance remains very rich and charming.

The piece is unobtrusive, so the maker and origin cannot be determined with certainty. The style evokes Southern European ceramics.

Dit is echt zo’n stuk waar je meteen naar blijft kijken. 

De schaal zit vol met druiven, appels, aardbei, banaan, citrusvruchten, bladeren en takken, allemaal afzonderlijk gevormd en met de hand beschilderd.

Er zijn op een paar plekken hele kleine stukjes af. Dat hoort eerlijk gezegd bij de staat van het object, maar doordat de schaal zo rijk is opgebouwd, valt het nauwelijks op. De uitstraling blijft gewoon heel rijk en charmant.

De schaal is ongemerkt, dus de maker en herkomst zijn niet met zekerheid vast te stellen. De stijl doet denken aan Zuid-Europees keramiek.

Een warm en karaktervol object dat prachtig staat op een tafel, dressoir of in een keuken. De foto’s geven de staat en alle details het beste weer.
