Description from the seller

“Blue Garden”

In “Blue Garden” I build an emotional landscape where the flowers seem to arise from memory and intuition more than from a literal representation. I work with the color blue as a space of contemplation and depth, creating an almost suspended garden, full of gestures, transparencies and movements that intertwine as if they were thoughts or memories floating in time. The floral shapes appear and disappear within a vibrant atmosphere, enveloping the composition in a feeling of calm and mystery.

The work is made through layers of free brushstrokes and gestural marks that generate rhythm, density and movement. I am interested in the viewer getting lost inside the painting, visually tracing each fragment as if walking through an imagined garden. The contrast between intense blues and luminous transparencies provides a contemporary and poetic sensation, where nature and abstraction coexist in the same pictorial space.

About R.Robin

Robinson Rodríguez García is a visual artist, theatre designer and drawing professor, born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and resident in Spain. He graduated in 2003 from the Provincial Academy of Fine Arts, and develops an artistic practice centered on painting and the contemporary language, where abstraction, geometry and a strong symbolic charge converge. Between 2003 and 2005 he taught drawing workshops at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech Art Instructors School, and between 2006 and 2009 he worked as a costume and scenery designer for the Santa Clara Provincial Council of the Performing Arts, an experience that decisively influenced his spatial and formal conception within the visual arts.

His work has been presented in various solo exhibitions in Cuba, notably at the Provincial Gallery of Art and in institutional spaces in Santa Clara. He has also participated in important group exhibitions and international fairs, including Art Basel Miami, group exhibitions in France and contemporary art events in the Americas and Europe. In 2017 he participated in art fairs in Mexico. His career is complemented by studies and international workshops related to scenic design and visual creation, consolidating a multidisciplinary artistic profile that dialogues between painting, space and the contemporary symbolic experience.
