Description from the seller
Geometrías habitadas is part of a new series in which I explore the relationship between memory, space and identity through simple and repeated structures. In this work I use small suspended architectures within an emotional landscape built layer by layer with color, transparencies and visual rhythms. The houses appear as fragments of human presence: places that contain memories, silences and accumulated experiences. I’m interested in each composition functioning as an intimate territory where the geometric and the gestural coexist in balance, creating a sense of movement, depth and contemplation.
In this series I work from a vibrant yet sensitive palette, combining strong chromatic contrasts with soft, open atmospheres. The forms multiply and dialogue with each other as if they were small urban cells floating in a poetic and undefined space. Each work arises from an intuitive process where color, repetition and superposition construct inner landscapes that speak of permanence, displacement and belonging. Geometrías habitadas represents a new stage in my work, where formal synthesis takes on greater prominence without losing the emotional and narrative charge that characterizes my pictorial language.
About R.Robin
Robinson Rodríguez García is a visual artist, theater designer and drawing professor, born in Cienfuegos, Cuba, and based in Spain. He graduated in 2003 from the Provincial Academy of Fine Arts, and his practice centers on painting and contemporary language, where abstraction, geometry and a strong symbolic load converge. Between 2003 and 2005 he taught drawing workshops at the Manuel Ascunce Domenech School of Art Instructors, and between 2006 and 2009 he worked as a costume and set designer for the Provincial Council of Performing Arts of Santa Clara, an experience that decisively influenced his spatial and formal conception within the visual arts.
His work has been presented in various solo exhibitions in Cuba, highlighting shows at the Provincial Gallery of Art and in institutional spaces in Santa Clara. He has also participated in important group exhibitions and international fairs, including Art Basel Miami, group exhibitions in France and contemporary art events in the Americas and Europe. In 2017 he participated in art fairs in Mexico. His career is complemented by studies and international workshops related to scenic design and visual creation, consolidating a multidisciplinary artistic profile that dialogues between painting, space and contemporary symbolic experience.
