Origin and History
The history of Chinese carpet weaving goes back to the Tang Dynasty (618–907 AD). Especially in western China, for example in the Ningxia region or later in Beijing, artful carpets were created, often for the imperial court. From the 19th century, China Carpets gained increasing international significance and were exported to Europe and America.
