Personalized with engraving of interlaced letters "GDG" on all pieces.

Tiffany & Co. is, notoriously, an American historic brand; the engraving "England", for this set, allows us to hypothesize export (begun as early as 1868) or production in foreign subsidiaries, one of which was historically in London: to sell its items in England and in compliance with the strict British laws, metal objects had to be hallmarked and certified directly on the national territory.
Additionally Tiffany had initiated the production of some of its series at the finest European manufactories, which produced them on commission, authorizing the use of the "Tiffany & Co." mark, in this case with the addition of the stamp "England" to indicate the place of manufacture.
These productions (also promoted in other laboratories worldwide) have maintained the design, identity and intellectual property of the New York mother house.
