A set of 19 ancient books and pamphlets plus a map related to Emilia-Romagna. Highlighting Bologna, Ferrara, Ravenna, Rimini, Forlì, Modena. Detailed description:

- Splendid color fabric-map of the early nineteenth century, perfectly preserved, like new, 63x45 cm, folded several times and provided with the original cardboard case depicting the TOPOGRAPHIC MAP OF THE PROVINCE AND DIOCESE OF BOLOGNA, showing the Privileged Municipalities inside the black border and the Plebenati and Vicariates of the archdeaconry inside the red border with the main roads and rivers, Lit. G. Wenk, Casanova Bologna, Marco Vannini Editore, no date, but a pre-unification map when Bologna belonged to the Papal States, as inferred from the States and Legations indicated beyond the described area (Legation of Ferrara, Legation of Ravenna, Duchy of Modena and Grand Duchy of Tuscany). In the legend the unit of measure is the Pertiche and the corresponding Meters.

- ILLUSTRATION OF THE ARCH OF AUGUSTUS IN RIMINI with eight copper plates, published by Maurizio Brighenti, doctor of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Bologna, emeritus professor of descriptive geometry at the School of Engineers in Rome, engineer and papal architect for the legation of Forlì, Rimini, for Marsoner and Grandi, 1825; 16x24 cm, 96 pages, very well-preserved editorial soft cover, very good uncut copy, printed on strong paper, BUT MISSING the 8 COPPER PLATES; only the frontispiece engraving shows two ancient Roman coins.

- Vitale Vitali, STUDIES IN ANTHROPOLOGY in the service of pedagogy: Romagnoli, Forlì, Luigi Bordandini typographer-publisher, 1896, 16x25 cm, 116 pages, editorial soft cover, interior perfect, small tear at the corner of the soft cover where a handwritten dedication was once, but the title page bears the author’s autograph dedication instead. COMPLETE: an interesting essay by the physician and anthropologist Vitale Vitali exploring the then-emerging link between anthropometry, physical characteristics of the Romagna population and practical applications in improving educational methods in schools.

- MUNICIPALITY OF BORGO TARO, On the tariff reform: preliminary report of the council to the municipal council meeting of June 9, 1902, 18x28 cm, 20 pages plus a series of plates and tables (one rebound multiple times) with numbers and variables regarding the hypothesis of welfare/tax reform. Editorial soft cover, COMPLETE, interiors perfectly intact.

- READY-TO-USE TABLES OF RATES comparing local measures used in the various towns, communes and dependencies belonging to the provinces of BOLOGNA, FERRARA, FORLI’ and RAVENNA with those of the decimal metric system and vice versa, preceded by elementary notions of the said system and by the fundamental tables approved by the Ministry of Agriculture, Industry and Commerce compiled by Gaudenzio COLI, honorary member of the Bologna Academy of Accountants; Bologna, Marsigli e Rocchi, 1862, 18x26 cm, 285 pages, editorial soft cover, COMPLETE but detached, interiors perfectly preserved. - Rodolfo Pezzoli, THE CZMEllS OF THE MUNICIPAL MUSEUM OF BOLOGNA – ancient section – illustrated notes on the peoples who inhabited the Bologna region, with in-text plates, Bologna, Monti successors publisher, 25x26 cm, 254 pages, editorial soft cover, uncut, in-text figures depicting ancient artifacts, COMPLETE, spine re-glued, 2 cm tear at the front cover, some foxing inside, but still a good and fully usable copy.

- Gina Fasoli, DESCRIPTIVE CATALOGUE of the Bologna Statutes kept in the State Archive of Bologna, Archiginnasio Library, Bologna, Zanichelli, 1931, 17.5x25 cm, 70 pages, editorial soft cover, uncut, COMPLETE, some light stains that, from the first cover, pass to the following pages gradually decreasing (the first initial stain about 8x2 cm) until disappearing by page 16 (but already by page 10 they are notably reduced in size and impact).

- COLLECTION OF UNPUBLISHED OR RARE WORKS from the first three centuries of the public language, curated by the R. - CONSORTIAL AQUEDUCT for the municipalities of the Lower Bolognese and Portomaggiore and Argenta, project outline, prepared by engineers Santippo Babini, Attilio Evangelisti, Amedeo Maccaferri, Ercole Marianti, Anfredo Santini, no date (but early twentieth century), 20x30 cm, 64 pages, numerous calculation tables, water supply forecasts for the concerned municipalities, surveys and studies + one multi-fold plate with the network of aqueducts in the area; editorial soft cover, interiors very good.

- Ettore Casadei, THE CITY OF FORLI’ AND ITS SURROUNDINGS, City guide, second edition with 360 illustrations, Forlì, Società Tipografica Forlivese, 1929; 11.5x16.5 cm, 688 pages + about 30 pages of colored advertising in the era; editorial soft cover, COMPLETE in the text (including the city map outside the text, in color, folded multiple times), but the copy lacks both covers and the spine (the binding structure is visible, solid). At pages 585-586 there is a note about Predappio Nuova, where the “modest little house that saw the birth of the Italian Duce” is located (a photo of Mussolini is published alongside Rosa Maltoni, p. 589).
