Moynat - Suitcase

Moynat Paris travel trunk in natural leather, dated June 1903, bearing the monogram T.V.L.

Provenance attributed to Baron Théodor von Liebieg (1872-1939), industrialist and great traveler of Central Europe, known for his early interest in the automobile and his ties with the circle of automotive pioneers around the Benz family.

Many original labels preserved: Nice (Hôtel de la Grande Bretagne), Rome (Hôtel Flora), Biarritz, Bregenz (Austria), Neuhausen (Switzerland) as well as Dutch customs and railway labels.

Dimensions: 72 × 37 × 21 cm.

Original condition with wear, stains and patina consistent with its age. Side straps missing, no key. Old handle but its exact origin is not guaranteed.

Item presented for its historical interest, its provenance, its Belle Époque travel labels, and its link to the beginnings of European automotive tourism.
