- I created my image for Falen Art with the aim of building a unique, modern and elegant visual identity capable of representing my artistic work and my values.
After studying graphic design in Namur and a strong taste for travel and cultural diversity, Natalie Matis’s vocation for porcelain was born in China during a trip.
Upon her return to Belgium, she joined the Porcepolis studio in Brussels, where she deepened her particular taste for porcelain; she loves this material for its whiteness, its nobility, its translucence, its intimacy with glaze and its softness.
She offers a range of decorative objects with a minimalist design.
For several years, Nathalie Matis has honed her ceramic studies in various studios and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Braine-l’Alleud with ceramist Geert van Der Borght.
Passionate about ceramics, she explores different techniques autonomously and has a strong fascination with raku, a mysterious union of mastery and randomness, a fragile adventure between the ceramist’s dream and metamorphosis.
