Description from the seller
Title: Fragmented Face #49
Series: The 1000 Faces
Technique: Acrylic on canvas
This work presents an imposing avant-garde composition based on symmetry and duality, showing two profile-contrasting figures that seem to look at each other or reflect one another. Each face is divided vertically by a central black line that breaks and reconfigures the features through hard-edge geometric planes. In the mirror game proposed by the piece, the outer halves of the faces stand out with an intense skin tone in vibrant orange combined with cerulean blue hair and circular blue cheekbones, while the inner halves soften the palette with ochre sand tones, orange eyelids, and circular cheekbones in a terracotta color. The lips, a deep wine red, center the expressions of both figures. The neck and torso areas merge into a complex and elegant network of parallel lines alternating white, blue, orange, and ochre. The whole assemblage is sharply cut against a tricolor background divided into large geometric fields of orange at the edges and a broad central band of off-white or cream, enhancing the piece’s visual balance.
The result is a sophisticated painting that blends classical portraiture with geometric abstraction and synthetic cubism. The vibrant color palette and the crisp hard-edge outlines create a visually powerful piece. It is an ideal work for collectors seeking a fusion between figuration and modern abstraction, delivering a distinctive and avant-garde presence to any space.
The canvas is carefully rolled and securely packaged in a sturdy tube for shipment.
The images you are seeing now are examples of how the artwork may look when framed and hung on a wall.

Art Series:
The 1000 Faces is an evolving artistic project conceived as a collection in progress, designed both from its conceptual value and its projection in the contemporary art market. The series proposes the creation of 1000 original works, each unique, numbered, and linked to a single recognizable visual language, which makes the collection a solid and collectible body of work.
My artistic practice centers on reinterpretation of the portrait through a geometric and contemporary approach. Each face is built through color planes, defined lines, and fragmented structures that generate compositions that are balanced yet dynamically altered. This tension between order and rupture gives each piece its own identity, while maintaining coherence within the series.
The use of color is intentional and strategic: contrasts between warm and cool tones that bring visual force and immediate appeal, qualities especially valued on platforms like Catawiki, where first impressions are key. Clean, modern, and highly recognizable compositions facilitate their integration into different spaces, both private and professional.
From a collecting perspective, The 1000 Faces is framed as a progressive acquisition opportunity. Each work is numbered (for example, #001 / 1000), reinforcing its limited character within the global project and adding long-term value. As the series grows, so does its relevance and coherence as a whole, increasing interest for collectors.
This project not only offers visually striking pieces but also a clear and consistent narrative: an exploration of contemporary identity through repetition, variation, and formal synthesis. In the online sales context, these qualities allow positioning each work not only as a decorative piece but as part of an artistic project with vision, continuity, and potential for value appreciation.
The 1000 Faces is conceived to be collected, evolved, and consolidated as a recognizable series within accessible contemporary art.
