Gabriella Binazzi presents Papera, a vintage centerpiece sculpture with a shell body and a silvered-bronze head, signed, Italy, 26 cm long, 22 cm high, 13 cm deep.
Description from the seller
Exclusive and refined centerpiece sculpture in the shape of a duck, created by the artist Gabriella Binazzi (XX-XXI) for the famous Binazzi Firenze manufactory. It is a name of absolute prominence in Italian artistic craftsmanship and interior design, internationally renowned for the extraordinary ability to fuse natural elements with metallic ones.
The body of the animal is entirely composed of a large and suggestive natural shell, which is in excellent condition and structurally perfect and sound; the lines visible on the surface are the natural veins and shades intrinsic to the shell itself, testifying to its authenticity and biological uniqueness. The head, the long expressive neck with eyes in green hard stone, the open beak and the webbed feet are masterfully crafted in nickel-silver metal and brass, finished with the extraordinary attention to detail typical of the Florentine school.
The piece bears the famous origin mark impressed on the metal at the base of the neck: "Binazzi Firenze", guaranteeing the work of the celebrated designer. With its harmonious dimensions of about 26 cm in length, 22 cm in height, and 13 cm in width, this piece represents a perfect union between Wunderkammer (cabinet of curiosities) and luxurious vintage design, ideal for enriching refined interiors or high-end signed objets d'art collections.
Important Information for Bidders
Dear collectors, being a private seller, please read carefully the following notes to ensure an ideal transaction for both sides:
If the object is accompanied by display bases or accessory packaging, these should be considered a pure gift; they are not part of the sale, do not determine value, and are not insured. Any minimal signs of age on the metal elements due to the era or natural wear not specifically described, as well as any damage to accessory elements during transport, will not be considered for claims or returns.
The item will be shipped from Geneva, Switzerland. For this reason, delivery times to EU countries may be slightly longer than usual due to standard customs procedures. I also remind you that, since Switzerland is outside the EU customs area, import duties, local VAT and customs charges are borne entirely by the buyer and will be collected by your country’s authorities upon delivery. I suggest you check with your customs in advance to avoid surprises.
As an alternative to shipping, if you have the possibility, in-person pickup in Geneva is always the option I prefer and strongly recommend: it will allow you to eliminate transportation costs and ensure maximum safety in transporting the work."
