Rare Collectible Set: Oracle Deck "ANNA - The Cards of the Heart: three colors for three truths" (1987)
Deck of divinatory/oracular cards published on August 22, 1987 as an exclusive supplement of the historic Italian women’s magazine «ANNA» (published by RCS, under the responsible direction of Willy Molco). This item represents a perfect union between editorial modernism, psychological cartomancy, and Italian graphic art of the late Eighties.
It is based on a complex and fascinating double combinatorial structure: The Three Colors System (Three Truths) and The 12 Astrological Houses.
The deck boasts an illustration section of extraordinary visual impact, strongly influenced by René Magritte’s Surrealism (men in bowler hats, cloudy skies enclosed in shapes, dreamlike and suspended atmospheres) and metaphysical hints à la De Chirico. The images skillfully mix the aesthetic and elegant taste of fashion and makeup of the 80s with refined esoteric symbolisms.
Condition of the item:
The lot is presented in exceptional vintage condition. The cards are intact, clean and well preserved; the original instruction booklet (extremely rare to find intact) is perfectly legible; the original cardboard box shows only very slight and normal signs of time-based storage that do not compromise its beauty and solidity.
