In the series "Voyeur" masculine intimacy arises from the suspended moment between dressing and undressing, when what was hidden prepares to be revealed. The tension between parts of the body that are covered by clothing and those that are naked transforms unveiling into subtle insinuations of erotism. These interrupted gestures that speak to us of the transition between one state and the other – dressed and undressed - gain meaning in the presence of an audience that watches them.
Patrícia Trindade (1989) is a Portuguese artist trained in Plastic Arts and holds a Master of Painting, both from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto. Although she has devoted over the years to various painting series with diverse themes, the male figure has become the central element of her work. This has served as the trigger for various approaches and narratives - from the objectification of the body, to erotism, to homosexuality and voyeurism – that challenge the usual representations of virility and passivity of the sexes in iconographic representations.
*IMPORTANT: Due to restrictions imposed by Portuguese carriers and shipping limitations that are beyond my control, shipments of orders to the United States will not be made.*
