Description from the seller
Roberto Martini was born in Cascina, in the province of Pisa, in 1943. His father gave him his first box of colors when he was 3 years old, and by the age of 6 he was already making drawings. He attended the drawing and painting school at Villa Trossi in Livorno, a hallmark of excellence in artistic training for painters. Martini has always been drawn to drawing and he found coloring for his paintings on his own. Active on the art market for more than 40 years, he has held numerous exhibitions at regional and national levels (he participated for the first time at the age of 15). Since the 1970s he has also been a regular exhibitor at the “Rotonda” (a very well-known figurative arts review held every summer in the port city of Livorno) and he has won, among other prizes, numerous awards in the national painting exhibitions and reviews he attended. Among the most recent ones are those from the city of Livorno in 2006 and Capraia in 2012. Martini has been collaborating for several years now with the Jansonius gallery, for which he has created several works primarily featuring views of the past Ticino and those of various cantons of the Confederation. The painting comes from my private collection. Without a frame it measures 50x70. Nice painting.
