Description from the seller

42x29.7 cm
Original piece on 300g art paper
unframed

This work is part of his abstract, graphic and geometric series.

2026

Since 2018, Warren Podguszer, known by the pseudonym Wawapod, has immersed himself in the Pop Art and street art scene in Paris, developing a unique style that fuses geometry and popular iconography. His work is distinguished by the reuse of emblematic icons through accumulations of dots, paying homage to art history and to popular figures he admires.

His works often have an initial abstract reading that becomes figurative depending on the distance from which one observes. He likes the idea that each person who observes his works does not necessarily see the same thing, but above all he enjoys playing with the observer's eye.

By diverting certain masterpieces, he aims to make them rediscovered by the general public and invites them to explore art history in a playful, modern, and democratic way.

Possibility to collect the work in the Greater Paris area.

This work is a unique piece and hand-signed on the back by the artist.

Technique: Aerosol paint and acrylic on paper.

Wawapod is a Parisian artist and street artist who exhibits across the country. His works are presented in several galleries in France and Europe.

WAWAPOD belongs to the same artistic current as: Jacques Villeglé, Invader, Jef Aérosol, Speedy Graphito, Vhils, Banksy, Mr. Brainwash, Obey (Shepard Fairey), OneMizer, C215, Basquiat, Keith Haring, Andy Warhol and Jerome Mesnager.
