“In “Interior with Sea”, the artist builds a scene where the domestic space and the maritime landscape meet within a single symbolic composition. The work presents an interior inhabited by figures, objects, and still life elements, while the sea appears as a background presence, not only as a landscape, but as an emotional atmosphere that runs through the entire scene.
The table functions as the visual and narrative center. On it gather fruits, containers, organic forms, and everyday objects that evoke abundance, memory, and ceremony. The fish, situated at the top, introduces an element of balance and strangeness, as if it were floating between the still life and the outside world. Around it, the figures seem to contemplate the scene from a quiet distance, creating tension between human presence and symbolic object.
The palette, dominated by greens, blues, pinks, and violets, brings freshness and depth, while the warm accents in red, orange, and yellow activate the composition with tropical energy. The cubist structure, marked by defined planes and firm lines, transforms the interior into a fragmented space, where each element preserves its autonomy and yet participates in a common order.
“Interior with Sea” offers a contemporary reading of the still life and the interior scene. The artist turns the table into a meeting place: between the intimate and the exterior, between the figure and the landscape, between the object’s quietness and the symbolic movement of the sea. It is a luminous and serene work, where the everyday acquires a poetic, Caribbean, and deeply evocative dimension.
