Description from the seller
Oil on canvas
Dimensions: 48 x 60 cm
Description
In this work, two horses share a moment of absolute intimacy and trust. Far from the traditional image of strength and movement associated with the equestrian world, the scene captures a moment of calm, where the contact between the two animals becomes a silent language of protection, affection, and connection.
The figures emerge against a deep violet background that envelops the composition in an almost dreamlike atmosphere. The warm tones of the coats contrast with the background’s depth, enhancing the horses’ presence and directing the gaze toward the meeting point between them. The fluid, expressive brushstrokes add texture and emotion, revealing both physical power and the sensitivity of these noble animals.
The work speaks to the invisible bonds that unite living beings: trust, companionship, and the universal need for closeness. A piece full of sensitivity that combines visual strength and emotion, capable of imparting character, warmth, and depth to any collection or space.
Alejandro Carballosa, visual artist and Cuban designer based in Spain, with a career marked by exploring strength, emotion, and beauty in both animal and human form.
