Blind Spot explores the limits of perception and the construction of identity in an era dominated by the digital image. The portrait, presented in an austere monochromatic palette, is interrupted by a band of pixels that crosses the gaze of the figure, precisely hiding the point where the subject and observer connect.
The visual interference functions simultaneously as a mask and revelation. By hiding the eyes, the work denies immediate access to the figure's individuality, but invites a deeper reflection on what remains invisible: memories, vulnerabilities, traumas and personal narratives that escape the surface of the image. The chromatic elements emerging from the distortion suggest fragments of information, echoes of an identity dispersed between the physical and the digital world.
The small orange signal suspended above the head introduces a subtle tension between alert, discovery and awareness, as if signaling a thought about to emerge or a truth that insists on remaining out of reach.
Between presence and concealment, Blind Spot questions what we choose to see — and what, consciously or unconsciously, we remain unable to recognize. The work transforms the visual fault into a space of contemplation, where absence becomes as meaningful as the image itself.
