Neogothic religious triptych in gilded wood – Italy – mid-20th century

Beautiful devotional tabletop triptych carved and polychromed wood with a gold finish, made in Italy around the mid-20th century.

The piece features a neogothic structure with hinged doors decorated with angelic figures and a central panel depicting a Marian scene with delicate Renaissance aesthetics (printed images). The raised ornamental work and the gilding patina give it considerable decorative appeal and a religious character.

The side hinges are metal; the rest of the structure is wood. It preserves a pleasant wear consistent with its age and use, which reinforces its authenticity and vintage charm.
