Description from the seller
Claudio Rolfi, born in Genoa in 1960. From his early works one can already note the great fascination that Italian art of the 20th century has been able to exert on him, with masters such as Casorati, Morandi, Carrà and de Chirico. In his forty years of artistic career there are more than seventy solo exhibitions and countless artistic events, including TV programs entirely dedicated to him. The Maestro Rolfi’s artistic work has been discussed by the most important newspapers and by television and radio stations. Among the most notable events is the great exhibition Centoeventigiorni held at Santa Maria degli Angeli in Rome in 2002, inaugurated in the presence of Mrs. Franca Ciampi and Walter Veltroni; the exhibition at the Dopmiziano museum in Rome; his solo show at Mondadori in Milan; the exhibition at the Palazzo della Cultura in Reggio Calabria and at BAM Baveno Arte Maggiore presented by Vittorio Sgarbi. The Maestro’s paintings have been used for about six years as the set design for Rai 3’s GEO program. His works are in many Italian collections, in the United States, Japan, Canada, and all over the rest of Europe. Painted in oil and mixed media on a canvased panel. The work is a seascape, one of the Landscapes of Memory. The work is supplied with an Authenticity Certificate signed and stamped and shipped by FedEx.
