Original acrylic painting on professional cotton canvas 70 × 50 cm, hand-signed. With its certificate of authenticity. Created in 2026, sold directly by the artist in excellent condition, varnished to preserve its colors and finish. Shipped rolled and protected in a custom package from Spain.
Description of the lot.
Work, part of the series: “Viento en popa…” where I combine abstract style with the composition of marine themes. A formal investigation that seeks atmospheres and compositions that allows me to merge gestural experimentation with realistic detail, uncovering a more evocative and encompassing pictorial experience.
About the artist.
Multimedia artist, sculptor, painter, photographer and video creator. Graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte (2002-2007). He has held close to twenty solo exhibitions—both in Cuba and abroad—and has participated in more than fifty collective exhibitions in various parts of the world, as well as international video art festivals, and monumental sculpture symposia in China and Cuba. He has been invited on two occasions to be part of the main curatorship of the Havana Biennial. Throughout his career he has received several awards and recognitions, including the most important distinction awarded by his hometown to a visual artist, the Fidelio Ponce de León distinction (2017).
He has given lectures in China, Buenos Aires and at several universities in the United States, such as the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York, Carnegie Mellon University and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, as well as Montclair State University in New Jersey.
Some of his works already belong to private and/or institutional collections in Cuba and abroad. He is part of the Ignacio Agramonte Museum Collection, Camagüey, Cuba. CREDICOP Bank Collection, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Sculpture collections in the Changchun City Park, China, and in the Guilin City Park, China. Public park sculpture in Alamar, Havana, Cuba. Public park sculpture Mario Aróstegui, Camagüey, Cuba. Monumental interactive sculpture at the Miramar Business Center in Havana.
